This past Sunday the women's canoe race from Molokai to Oahu concluded in Waikiki. I went down to welcome my friends from Kona, Alexis and Leona, at the finish line. I am so proud of these strong wahine!
Alexis and her dad who himself has done the race many times. It was Alexis' first and she did it iron, meaning she stayed in the boat the whole 41 miles!

Watching the races finish makes me wish I had had time to paddle this summer. I would love to do the Molokai one day. I am so proud of my Kona girls!
