So.... it's been a while. Life has gone into warp speed and I'm enjoying the ride. The highlight since January is that I have been accepted into the physical therapy program at University of the Pacific. I can't begin to explain how elated I am about this. 6 years of studying as an undergraduate in the UH system, volunteering, working, life- all this hard work has paid off and got me to this point. I'm graduating in May and moving to California in August. Someone pinch me.
Being single has also been a blessing in disguise. I have more time for myself doing what I like to do- farmers market, cooking, friends, acai bowls, dancing the night away, surfing, work, yoga, studying, wasting time on facebook. Time is just flying by- I can hardly believe I only have 8 more weeks left in this semester. I am enjoying every minute of it.
A reason why I haven't been blogging is that I was waiting to get a new camera so I could share better pictures. Thanks to a generous graduation gift from my mom, I got a Sony Cybershot last week. It was perfect timing for spring break- I took a million pictures and will post them soon. The internet has also not been working at my house so I am trying to fit in time between using wifi at school and Kahala Mall. It is amazing how dependent we are on the internet now. I'm wondering if it is a blessing or a bad thing? I am able to keep in touch with my friends all over the world but school is so intertwined with it that nowadays it is not enough to just go to class.
Speaking of class- I've been at Kahala Mall for a couple hours now and haven't studied yet. I better start now....I'll be in touch :)

Congratulations again on your great achievement!! I am so proud of you, Carlen.
Also, congrats for having a new camera. I used to have a Sony CyberShot, too, and now, I use Panasonic DMC-TZ4 which is also a good camera.
I look forward to your upcoming blog entries.
Love,
Akari
Congrats Carlen on your upcoming graduation AND getting into UOP :)
We'll have to keep in touch since we too are moving back (Home) to the Bay Area in early September...
You'll always have us "nearby" if you need someone :)
Good luck with your last couple of months in school!
Hugs!
